Har någon någon aning om vem det var som mätte dygnsmedeltemperaturerna vid Nord- och Sydpolen innan dessa besökts av kända upptäcktsresanden? I fallet Nordpolen är det etter värre. Verkliga vetenskapliga data har inte insamlats före 1969…..
Men hur är det nu med http://maps.grida.no/go/graphic/trends-in-arctic-temperature-1880-2006 och andras av FN m.fl. presenterade arktiska temperaturer?
Innan Peary och Henson nådde Nordpolen 1909 så kan möjligen Cock varit där året innan. MEN den första vetenskapliga undersökningen till fots upp till Nordpolen fick världen vänta på till 1969.
